I’ve been to many different salons in the Corpus Christi Southside area in the past and my overall experiences have not been that pleasant. I went to a very large salon with lots of glass walls and they acted like they were doing me a favor. The had 3-4 people working on my shampoo, color, and cut. Way to many people at one appointment putting their hands in my hair. With Ginger at Dragonfly by Ginger Exclusive Salon, I truly get one on one treatment. Her very cute salon is light years ahead of all my other salon experiences. She has great technique and a fantastic one on one personal touch each time I go to the salon. Ginger is Fab! I moved to Corpus 6 years ago and was frantically seeking a great colorist and cutter. I just LOVE my hair. I always thought that highlights looked great but could never have them because my hair would never get light, only orange. I gave up even trying to get highlights until last week. I decided to give it one more shot but wasn”t expecting a miracle, but a miracle was what I received! I am so happy, Ginger is a genius when it comes to color, she knew exactly what to do to get my hair to lift without over-processing it. The last time I got highlights it took forever and my hair was orange and literally falling out. I”m sure glad I gave it one more try with Ginger. It looks great! Thanks Ginger.
I use to swear by a chain hair salon in the mall but when they hacked off my hair because they didn’t listen, I started looking for someone new. When my hair finally did grow back out I found Ginger and I swear she is an artist and hair is her canvas. Recently I was given a gift card for another hair salon in town and decided to use it. To my horror (I shouldn’t have been surprised) they made my highlights brassy. Thank god I didn’t let them touch my hair with scissors. I called Ginger right away and she took one look at my hair and knew what to do. After correcting their mess I now have beautiful hair I can be proud of. Ginger has been doing my hair for almost seven years and I wouldn’t even consider letting anyone else touch my hair. Over that time I have had countless women tell me what a fabulous haircut I have and then asked me for her business card. Because I did design work, I worked with a lot of women. Several of my clients from San Antonio started having Ginger do their hair here in Corpus, because they were so pleased with their results. I left that job about six months ago and recently the new manager called me to get Ginger’s phone number. Evidently, women ask her all the time where the “girl with the great hair-cut” got her hair done, and several had made her promise she would track me down and find out who the great stylist was. No one had ever told me I had great hair until Ginger started doing it and now I hear it all of the time. It feels really good to have other people compliment my hair, but I have to give all of the credit to Ginger. She”s a fabulous stylist and a master with color. I just love Ginger and trust her professional opinions with my hair color and style! I use to do my hair with products from the stores but after experiencing the atmosphere that Ginger and her husband John have established within their shop, i”v never had a second thought about going anywhere else. It had been years since I had colored my hair and I was really dying to (no pun intended) when fate intervened. I went into Ginger”s salon, nervous but excited. After a brief consult, we got started and I finally (ta-da!) got the color I had wanted! I am so happy with the color and I don”t think I will ever go any where else. Yesterday was my first visit and it was awesome! Everybody at work complimented me on my new haircut and it just made my day. I can”t wait to go back and see what Ginger can do with my color. Also, BTW, I LOVE your website; it’s very user-friendly, packed with great information and it looks super cool. I am glad to see a small business using a website for more than contact information. On May 16th my daughter Alicia had a hair appointment (which was canceled that morning) to get ready for her senior prom at another hair salon and Ginger was SO kind by working her in between her appointments and made my daughter”s prom so special. We LOVED the way Alicia”s hair looked and we felt so welcomed and at home. We will be coming back even though we live in Aransas Pass it is worth the drive.
I recently moved to Corpus and was wanting something new with my hair. I was researching some salons in the area and came across the site and it caught my eye. I scheduled an appointment and was able to get in within 2 days. I had not had my hair cut in over 7 months and just wanted a fun new look. I found some pictures of what I wanted (Victoria from Twilight). I had virgin hair when it came to color so was a bit nervous, but Ginger put me at ease. I was there most of the afternoon, but it was a fun experience and loved my cut and color. Will definitely be going back to have it done again. She knew just what I wanted without turning my hair orange or frying it. Very happy.
